Music Therapy
Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. (American Music Therapy Association definition, 2005)
Higher Octave Healing (HOH) music therapists work with a variety of children, teens, and adults to address the cognitive, social, physical, emotional, psychological, neurological, and sensory needs of each individual utilizing the rhythmic and harmonic components of music and the therapeutic application of music by a degreed, Board-Certified professional. Just as each client is individual, our highly qualified, board-certified music therapists also have specializations in addressing the needs of various clientele including:

All HOH music therapists are nationally board-certified through the Certification Board of Music Therapists meeting rigorous, ongoing continuing education guidelines following degree and certification. Our variety of therapist backgrounds exceed required degrees/certifications to practice in Arizona (trainings in CPR, First Aid, Article 9, CIT levels I & II, HealthRHYTHMS, and NMT.) We currently provide 1:1 in-home music therapy services and group music therapy services at facilities throughout the Valley of the Sun as well as clinic-based 1:1, small group, and support group services at the Arizona State Music Therapy Clinic located in Tempe, AZ.
